On September 9th, 1999, a new character was born on FurryMuck. Hitomi was the daughter of Ashgrey and Quicksilver, and granddaughter to Greycloak and Fira. She is a golden fur kitsune with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

The Japanese words are often made of three syllables, sometimes a single three-syllable word, and others three one-syllable words together. The name Hitomi is a Japanese name with two different meanings. The first (three- syllable word) means "eyes". The second (three one-syllable words) means "fire door fruit." So I have decided to combine the two meanings to create my meaning for the name Hitomi - "fiery eyes."
